(hereinafter referred to as Daoming Optics) has the largest production capacity in the field of reflective materials in Asia, taking 17 years. In the past 17 years, it has broken foreign technology monopolies and become the first listed company in the same industry in China... paving the way for a comeback.

Ten years of sharpening a sword, breaking foreign technological monopolies

In June 2002, Daoming Optics was founded in a small town in Yongkang. After 18 months, it stood out from thousands of companies and became one of the top 100 taxpayers in Yongkang. From an unknown family workshop to becoming one of the top 100 taxpayers in the top 100 counties (cities) in China, Daoming Optics only took over 500 days. But the momentary glory did not satisfy Daoming Optics. The company's founders, Hu Zhixiong and Hu Zhibiao, together set their sights on the prism shaped reflective film.

At that time, this type of reflective film could only be produced by American company 3M, which was listed among the Fortune 500 companies. In the eyes of Chinese peers, it was definitely considered high-tech and ceiling. Without production equipment, lack of technical support, and even difficulty in purchasing raw materials, the Hu brothers did not know how difficult it was. They started from scratch, slowly explored and devoted themselves to research. After 10 years of repeated experimentation and continuous improvement, the DM (Daoming) brand prismatic reflective film is now selling well nationwide and going global, no less than foreign brands.

Speaking of the past, Chairman Hu Zhibiao exclaimed with infinite emotion, "Faced with repeated failures, I have always held a firm belief in my heart, which is: what Americans can do, we Chinese people can also do it!"

Faced with a steady stream of orders and a good market reputation, Hu Zhibiao said that sharpening a sword in ten years, although difficult, is worth it.

Building the first listed company in the same industry nationwide

In August 2008, Daoming Optics, who had just turned 6 years old, actively responded to the call of the Yongkang Municipal Party Committee and Government, boldly carried out shareholding reform, and launched preparations for listing.

Yongkang is known as the hardware capital of China, with highly developed hardware products. However, few companies have ventured into the capital market. Several companies have invested a lot of manpower and resources but declared failure, while others who originally planned to go public have all started to withdraw. Daoming Optics has overcome difficulties and, with the idea of being able to go public better and not being able to go public to make enterprise management more standardized and development healthier, has carried out extensive reforms in accordance with the requirements of listed companies.

After three years of effort and pain, in November 2011, Daoming Optics successfully landed on the capital market and was listed on the SME board of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, becoming the first listed company in the same industry in China. In recognition of the significant contributions made by Daoming Optics to the socio-economic development of Yongkang, the Yongkang Municipal Party Committee and Government also specially awarded a prize of 5 million yuan to Chairman Hu Zhibiao.

Make every effort to build an excellent national brand

At the beginning of its creation, Daoming Optics set rules for itself: continuous technological innovation, quality assurance, precise market layout, and enthusiastic service.

At present, Daoming Optics has 110 domestic patents, 83 registered trademarks both domestically and internationally, and has been awarded the title of China Famous Trademark and Zhejiang Famous Brand Product. It has led and participated in the formulation (revision) of 14 national and industry standards. The core technologies of micro prism reflective film, motor vehicle license plate reflective film, lithium-ion battery soft packaging film, display brightening film, diffusion film, quantum dot film and other products have all reached the international advanced level.

In July 2016, Daoming Optics fully launched the "Non reflective, Unsafe" National Tour, and held exchanges on new technologies, products, and applications of reflective materials in Hangzhou, Jinan, Ningbo, Xi'an, Nanjing, Changchun, Shanghai, and other places, breaking the long-standing monopoly of international brands on high-grade road reflective films.

In March 2019, the "National Highway Network Naming and Numbering Adjustment and Strategic Cooperation Seminar" organized by Daoming Optics invited more than 500 leaders, well-known experts, senior scholars, industry elites, and media representatives from public security and traffic management across the country, embarking on a new journey of road safety and life protection engineering.

In 2019, Daoming Optics will invest 300 million yuan to build a basic research and development building in Hangzhou, and plans to introduce 200 professional technical personnel as the company's backbone technical force.
